Reading and Writing Across the Curriculum Enhancing students' reading and writing skills can be done in every subject area, not just language arts, without deviating from the curriculum. Specific techniques and technology resources can be used with students as they read in the content areas so they truly understand - not memorize. Writing assignments can be designed to help students learn course content, or "write to learn." Participants will develop or improve reading and writing assignments in the content areas to teach content effectively, discover ways to evaluate student comprehension efficiently, and use technology resources to aid in the process. An Afternoon for iPad Beginners From Aggregators to Wikis: Web 2.0 Tools In this workshop you'll have the opportunity to explore a variety of Web 2.0 tools that you can use in your classroom. You'll learn everything from Aggregators (R.S.S. feeds) to Wikis and all things in-between. Each participant will have the chance to experiment with these Web 2.0 applications.
