FREE ONLINE UDL and MATH WORKSHOPS

UDL Workshops

You will not have to drive anywhere. Here is a good chance to experience an online environment and see how Universal Design for Learning needs to be part of your classroom. Use the Workshop Registration link to register.

This online workshop series focuses on the use of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles to promote success in the classroom. We have experienced Universal Design while entering buildings using a ramp or making use of a curb cut while riding a bicycle or assisting someone in a wheel chair. Discover how the same principles are applied to promote learning for all, Universal Design for Learning. You will learn the principles involved in designing lessons using the UDL framework, identify barriers and explore resources to utilize while developing relevant lessons to use in the math classroom, or any classroom. This workshop is delivered online using two online methods- live real time (Elluminate)  and choose your own time  (Moodle classroom).  We will send you all the details and help you get started.

See you online!

Using Technology to Reach all Learners and Asking the Right Questions: Workshop title: Math

Use the Workshop Registration Link to Register

How does technology support student learning? In this workshop, teachers will explore different technological resources. Teachers will explore how to use software and web resources in order to teach and assess, not just present. The benefits of using technology to assist struggling learners will be explicitly addressed.

Once you’re using technology how do you know students are getting it? Teachers will develop formative assessments with technology and well planned follow up questions. Specific attention will be devoted to reviewing student responses to specifically crafted exercise in order to determine gaps in learning. Teachers will learn how to develop key assessment activities to measure daily lesson objectives and how to use the information to track performance and target struggling learners.

This workshop is delivered online using Moodle. We will send you all the details and help you get started. Use the Workshop Registration link to register. See you online!
